This Privacy Policy explains how Saloon, Inc. ("Saloon," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the website at saloon.fyi (the "Site"). By using the Site, you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
This Policy covers the Site only. The Site is an informational corporate website. Our products are governed by their own privacy policies — in particular, your use of Arcade is governed by the Arcade Privacy Policy at arcade.fyi, not by this Policy. We do not collect wallet, blockchain, identity-verification (KYC), or financial-account information through the Site; that activity, where it exists, occurs on our products and under their policies.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to information we collect through saloon.fyi. The Site is offered to U.S. audiences, and this Policy is written for U.S. law. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and acknowledge that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Contact and inquiries. When you email us (including at hello@saloon.fyi) or submit a form on the Site, we collect the information you choose to provide — typically your name and email address — and the contents of your message and any attachments.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage and device information. IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, referring and exit URLs, pages viewed, and timestamps.
- Log data. Server and application logs, including request paths, response codes, and error reports.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies for security and basic preferences, and first-party analytics. See Section 5. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
2.3 What we do not collect through the Site
We do not collect through the Site: wallet addresses or keys, on-chain activity, government-issued identifiers or KYC documents, payment-card or financial-account numbers, or precise geolocation. The Site provides no product and no account.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Respond to you — answer inquiries and partner, press, hiring, and customer questions you send us;
- Operate and secure the Site — serve pages, maintain reliability, and detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security threats;
- Understand and improve the Site — analyze aggregate usage; we use aggregated or de-identified data wherever possible; and
- Comply with law and protect rights — respond to legal process and protect the rights, property, and safety of Saloon, our users, and the public.
We do not run marketing-email campaigns or maintain a promotional mailing list. Our communications are operational — generally, replies to inquiries you initiate.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as described below.
4.1 Service providers (sub-processors)
We share information with third-party providers who process it on our behalf, under contract, only for the purposes for which we share it:
| Provider category | Role | Information shared |
|---|---|---|
| Website hosting / CDN | Serving the Site | Information processed in the course of serving requests, including IP and request metadata |
| Email host | Hosting and delivery of correspondence to and from @saloon.fyi mailboxes |
Email address, message contents |
| Form / inbox tooling | Receiving and routing Site form submissions | Contents of your submission |
| First-party analytics | Aggregate usage measurement to improve the Site | Pageviews, events, a domain-scoped identifier, truncated IP where supported, and browser/device metadata — not used for advertising or third-party data sharing |
4.2 Legal process and protection of rights
We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms, address fraud or security issues, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Saloon, our users, or the public.
4.3 Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business or assets, information we have collected may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to commercially reasonable confidentiality obligations.
4.4 With your consent or at your direction
We share information in any other case where you have consented or directed us to.
5. Cookies, analytics, and your controls
We use strictly necessary cookies (for security, session integrity, and basic preferences) and first-party analytics to measure aggregate usage and improve the Site. First-party analytics identifiers are scoped to our domain, are not used for advertising, and are not shared with advertising networks. We do not use advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies, pixels, or beacons.
Your controls. You can control cookie behavior through your browser settings. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as an opt-out of first-party analytics. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may impair the Site.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:
| Category | Retention |
|---|---|
| Inquiries and correspondence (email, form submissions) | Up to 3 years after the last interaction |
| Server logs and error reports | Up to 90 days in active stores; longer in cold archive where needed for security |
| First-party analytics events | Up to 24 months in raw form; aggregated/de-identified data may be kept longer |
We may retain information longer where required by law, where reasonably necessary to defend against legal claims, or where it has been aggregated or de-identified.
7. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we hold, including transport encryption (TLS), access controls, and security review of changes. No security program is perfect, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we determine that a breach of personal information we hold triggers a notification obligation under applicable U.S. state law, we will notify affected individuals and any required regulator within the timeframe that law requires.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on the U.S. state in which you reside, you may have rights to know/access, delete, correct, and port the personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising (which we do not engage in). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
How to exercise your rights. Submit a request to hello@saloon.fyi. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally 45 days, with one extension where permitted). We may need to verify your identity. If we decline a request, you may appeal by emailing hello@saloon.fyi with the subject "Privacy Appeal."
9. State-specific disclosures
California (CCPA/CPRA). In the prior 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 2, used them for the purposes in Section 3, and disclosed for a business purpose the categories in Section 4. We have not sold personal information and have not shared it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Other U.S. states. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and others — may have substantially similar rights. Use the same intake address (hello@saloon.fyi) and we will route the request under your state's framework.
10. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact hello@saloon.fyi.
11. Third-party services and links
The Site links to third-party websites and services, including arcade.fyi. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. Following a link takes you outside the Site and outside this Policy. Review their policies before using them.
12. Do Not Track
There is no industry-standard interpretation of browser "Do Not Track" signals, and we do not currently respond to them. We do honor the Global Privacy Control where applicable, as described in Section 5.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
